I think this wedding will forever hold a special place in my memory. I have a thing for rainy days. If you follow our blog you have probably heard me say it. I have always enjoyed the coziness of a good old rainy day. I especially have come to love rainy days because of my love and connection to Guatemala (there’s nothing like taking a siesta under a Guatemalan tin roof while it’s raining.) Also the fact that it rained on my own wedding day makes rain kind of nostalgic for me. Anyway this day was rainy, and probably rainy isn’t the best way to describe it. During this couple’s ceremony there was pretty much a torrential downpour, but everything about it was perfect. Liz & Vladimir’s wedding day was so special. From the moment I walked into the French Country Manor I could tell that Liz & Vladimir were not about to let the rain phase them at all. This couple is pretty much the definition of joy and positivity. I so loved their reactions to seeing each other at their first look, and when Liz walked down the aisle (in the rain, of course)
Thankfully Liz & Vladimir choose to have a first look which allowed us to capture some stunning portraits before the worst of the rain hit. We had so much fun adventuring along the creeks and woods that the Manor has to offer. What a stunning and romantic location! Vladimir is a photographer himself, it’s such an honor to work for others creatives. We actually met him while capturing a wedding, he was shooting video, and we immediately connected, upon meeting Liz we knew that we had found new friends.
This day was filled with natural details, a bubbling creek, stone walls, iron rod bridges, maroon and champagne details, a pretty mix of romantic and playful. I think this day described Liz & Vladimir so well. It was such an honor to be part of this day, to capture the depth of love between this couple. Their commitment to God, each other, their friends and family are so beautiful. I loved how this day was purposed not only to join two lives together but to give glory to God. Thank you Elizabeth & Vladimir for allowing us to be a part of your BIG day. You have been so much fun to hang around. Your wedding day was awesome! Enjoy this sneak peak.
