Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday! Aren’t Holiday weekends just good for the soul?!?! Today I wanted to hop on here and share some images that are really near and dear to my heart. As you may know Sarah & Simeon are such great friends of ours, and this past November we got to show them around our favorite land, Guatemala! Along with spending a good bit of time in Antigua, we also wanted to take them to Lake Atitlán!
We obviously are a little bias when we say that Guatemala is incredible, however there is nothing like Largo de Atitlán, it’s a massive lake surrounded by three volcanos! The natural beauty of this location holds such a peace and beauty that is unlike any other. We spent three days at the lake, soaking up some sunshine, taking boat rides, and eating some amazing food. On this trip to the Lake we decided it’d be so fun to pull out the camera and capture some images of Sarah & Simeon in this breathtaking location.
We had planned to take their photos on the last evening of our stay, and as sunset approached we realized that the clarity of the sky line and the volcanos wasn’t exactly what we had hoped for, so Sarah & Simeon were so gracious to be so flexible and get up the next morning for a sunrise photo session, and it did not disappoint!
I hope these images always serve as a sweet reminder of the joy and excitement of visiting Lake Atitlán for the first time. We had so much fun with them on this trip, and we couldn’t think of a better way to commence this trip then with a few photos!
P.S. || I’ll just put it out into the world that one of my dreams is to one day shoot a wedding at Lake Atitlán, just in case anyone wants to make that reality for me.
