Looking through these photos kind of takes my breath away. It amazes me how the Lord puts dreams in our hearts and so beautifully brings them to completion. Since my first trip to Guatemala, I have loved the city of Antigua. It just speaks to my heart all of the color, the culture, the history, and the views of the volcano. There is no place on earth like it. My hope and desire as a young lady was always to shoot in this beautiful location, and this is now the second time that we are getting to shoot there, and already have plans for more. 😉 Cesar is a great friend of Hugo’s, we were thrilled and honored when he asked us to capture his and Melanie’s engagement photos, and of course when they choose Antigua for their session, we weren’t complaining. 😉

We first went to Ruinas De La Catedral, and shot around their, while they set up for a massive Marimba concert, which was pretty much the coolest thing to observe. Then we walked out to the street to shoot around the ruins, and even grabbed a little treat of ice cream. An idea that was inspired by our own family photo session we did in Antigua, with Daniel Lopez Perez Photography, (promise we’ll share more from that later!) Sidenote : On this particular adventure we tried carrot ice cream for the first time. It was good, but I’d probably stick with avocado next time. 😉

Cesar & Melanie, it was a treat getting to capture this season of your journey together. You to have such a beautiful presence with each other and in front of the camera. We hope to see you all again soon! Much Love,
