I am so excited to share this stylized photo session with you all. It’s a project that I have loved working on. It is so refreshing to take time to create just for the sake of creating. It’s one of my goals for 2016 to be increasingly intentional about taking time to be creative. One of the reason’s I feel in love with photography, was because it allowed me to be creative.
There is a unique excitement that comes along with creating a story. Building from the ground up, when there is an endless amount of possibility. And when vision and execution come together for a creative project, it kind of feels like Christmas morning!
I’ve always wanted to do a photo session in Antigua, Guatemala. The city is overflowing with colonial Spanish detail. Founded in the early 16th century, Antigua’s cobble stone roads, colorful buildings, and Latin culture will make you want to move, or at least stay awhile. 😉 My vision for the photo session was colonial texture, a dash of boho detail, and a bouquet inspired by the wild wispy nature of Guatemala’s prevalent air plants and greenery.
I hope you enjoy the results. Thank you to my beautiful sister in law for modeling for me. You are stunning! I’m already planning for my next stylized session in Guatemala!
Happy Friday!
