Last Saturday my dear friend from high school Ashley got married, and it was such an honor to be a part of her wedding day. Ashley stood by me on our wedding day, and Hugo and I feel so blessed by David & Ashley’s friendship. Ashley & David were married at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill, a factory in Carlisle that was built 1918 and fit Ashley & David’s style ‘to a T’. Ashley’s wedding day details were intentional, and so very her. We loved capturing every piece.
Ashley & David shared their first look in the very spot they later said their vows at. They prayed together and held each other, and it was truly the perfect start to their BIG day. As we photographed Ashley & David’s portraits, the temperature outside dropped at least twenty degrees and threatened rain, but David and Ashley were so calm about everything. They remained joyful amidst the chill, and enjoyed the wind together. We love how David & Ashley bring out the best in each other, and give glory to God in all that they do.
Following their windy portraits, Ashley & David were married by the glow of many candles and the warmth of family and friendship. I cried when Ashley walked down the aisle, along with many others. The day was wonderful, the flicker of candles and the sound of rain while David & Ashley said their vows is one that will be hard to forget.
David & Ashley we love you, and cherished getting to capture your day. You all are the best, and we know that your marriage will be a light and testimony to many. We can’t wait for you to see these images.
Happy Friday!
