Sarah & Simeon are dears friends of ours. Sarah second shoots for us often on wedding days and she actually took our engagement photos when were engaged. We’ve loved getting to know her, and her creativity and servant heart is amazing! Simeon and Hugo led a small group together for a season, and we’ve also loved getting to know Simeon. We’ve so appreciated his transparence, genuine heart, and servant qualities as well. This couple is so great, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the tables turned and take their engagement photos. We are greatly anticipating their summer wedding, it’s going to amazing.

We’ve actually been teasing Sarah about marrying Simeon from the time they started dating, and we are thankful that her and Simeon both put up with our relentless jokes. They even surprised us with the good news of their engagement. We had planned a meeting with Sarah for a Monday evening, and Simeon proposed the Saturday before, and while they could have told us at church the following morning, they kept it a secret from us. On Monday evening as we were eating cookies in our kitchen and talking about a recent engagement shoot they photographed together. Sarah showed us images that they’d taken, and then showed us a picture of her hand with her engagement ring. Needless to say we were giddy and extremely excited.

For their engagement photo session we ventured out to Hickory Run State Park. An area with beautiful forrest, lakes, and an awesome naturally occurring boulder field. We loved driving there with them, talking about life, photography, and their upcoming wedding. We have been so blessed by this couple, and we can’t imagine life without their friendship. We look forward to many more adventures with them. Thanks Sarah & Simeon for your encouragement and friendship, we are excited for you as you enter into this next season of your journey together.
