I‘ve been looking forward to sharing this day with you all. Shelby & Jonathan are one of a kind. A truly heart warming couple, with infectious joy that flows from the core of who they are. I can not express what a delight it was to be part of this day. Shelby has helped me second shoot recently and I have loved chatting with her about her and Jonathan’s upcoming wedding. We talked about the details of the day, and all the effort and planning she has put into this day truly made it just right. Everything was so perfect, from the programs to the flowers.

I love the story of how we’ve gotten to know Shelby & Jonathan. Back in the fall we had a sweet bride Lindsay email us about wanting to book her July wedding with us (Lindsay’s wedding is actually THIS Saturday!) We were so excited to meet with her, and as we talked about her upcoming day over coffee, we asked her how she heard about us. She mentioned that her dear friend Shelby (who is a photographer, and her maid of honor) gave her our name. At the time we didn’t know Shelby, and I was so grateful for her referral that I decided to message her and thank her personally. Shelby is an amazing photographer, and I still feel so honored that she would recommend us to her friend. Not too long after messaging her, Jonathan asked her to marry him. Shelby and Jonathan are the sweetest and not only did they book with us, but they were actually kind enough to chose their wedding date according to the our availability.

Shelby & Jonathan, I can not say enough of good about the two of you, really! The first time you came and had dinner with us, I knew that we were not only going to love your wedding, but we were making new friends. I love chatting with you about business and life, about your dreams, all things photography, and most of all I love how you both loved on our baby girl the first time you met her. You two are going places, and I am so excited to see where God takes you as a couple. Your day was perfect, I shed tears as you saw each other for the first time, what a beautiful moment. Shelby I loved how when you weren’t grinning from ear to ear you were shedding tears of joy. Jonathan I love how you love on Shelby, it’s obvious in your every interaction. I can’t wait for the two of you to see these photos and reminisce on your beautiful wedding day.

Check out these flowers! By far some of the neatest bouquets I’ve ever gotten to capture. Shelby chose to use flowers from Africa, since Jonathan was born there.
