SOUTH YORK, PA BACKYARD WEDDING // BECKY + HANK

You’ve probably heard us say it before, but we LOVE backyard weddings, and when Becky & Hank contacted us about their beautiful backyard wedding, we knew that their day was going to be incredible. We captured Becky & Hank’s engagement photos in Virginia, this past spring, and it was amazing! Becky & Hank are so kind and thoughtful, and getting to know them better through this season has been a treat. Becky & Hank were married on the last day of September, and it was one of the first day’s that felt truly like Fall. The weather was brisk, and a cool breeze blew throughout their day. Becky got ready at her parent’s home, surrounded by lots of friends and family, her and Hank were then married at a local chapel, and it was perfectly serene and intimate. After their beautiful ceremony they returned to Becky’s parents home, where they then joined their bridal party and family for a “creek blessing.” Hank & Becky love the outdoors, and although they wanted to get married in a church, they also wanted to celebrate in nature.

Together they waded in the creek as their friends and family surrounded them, and their brother-in-law read one of the most incredible blessings. They then followed the blessing with a toast, and it was SO neat! We love seeing how couples put such a special spin on their wedding day. From there we wandered the farm with Becky & Hank capturing the two of them enjoying their incredible day and love. One of the things that stood out to us most was that Becky & Hank have such a strong value for family, and we love how that was evident in their wedding day. Their families all sat together at one big table at their reception, and we loved seeing what a beautiful community of siblings, parents, and nieces and nephews surrounded Becky & Hank.

Let’s not forget the meat pies, schnitzel, and variety of German food that was served in honor of Becky & Hank’s German heritage. Can I also get an “amen” for whoopie pies and maple donuts! 😉 Becky & Hank, we hope that these images always remind you of the beauty and love that surrounded you on this day.
