Hey Everyone! This is our final week of team introductions, and we can’t wait for you to hear a little more about Shelby & Anthony. We’d probably go as far as saying they are the hippest members of the Janae Rose Photography Team. 😉 From their love of good coffee, and their knowledge of all the best places to hang and eat, these two are incredible! One of the things we love about couples is their heart for people! They are kind and friendly and always have others best interest in mind. We’ve enjoyed getting to have their creativity and humor as a part of our team. We can’t wait for you to see their work here, and we know you’re going to LOVE it.

We actually photographed Shelby & Anthony’s wedding almost three years ago. CRAZY. As I think back on how we got to know them, I honestly have no idea how it all came about. Anthony is a friend of my brothers, and I’m guessing that’s how we made the connection all those years ago. Either way we’re SO super glad that we did. Getting to know these two has been a true joy, and their creativity and excitement for life is contagious. And although we could go on and on about the wonder that is this couple…we’ll let them take it from here!

 

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HOW YOU MET EACH, AND WHAT “DREW” YOU TO ONE ANOTHER?

We met at Refreshing Mountain Camp back in 2010 – Anthony was working on the zip line when Shelby decided to give it a try! We both felt something really significant when we had seen each other for the first time. For Shelby it was Anthony’s amazing smile and luscious blonde hair…for Anthony it was a feeling of something indescribably different about her.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED?

Almost three years!

TELL US SOMETHING YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE, AND WHY?

Anthony: I love Shelby’s cute antics, and her ever-caring heart.

Shelby: I love Anthony’s character because he has a great way of looking at life, he has a huge heart for the Lord, and he loves me in such a genuine way.

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM YOUR OWN WEDDING DAY?

We loved when we had time to ourselves with the bridal party, aka time with just us and our friends. It was a nice time during the rush of the day to have food (all to ourselves!) with everyone. Anthony also notes that his personal favorite memory was watching Shelby come down the aisle.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE DATE NIGHT LOCATIONS?

We love Tellus 360 in Lancaster city because of the beautiful rooftop area where you can eat/drink! We also love going to Lititz in general for date nights.

SHARE WITH US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR BUCKET LIST? WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU CAN’T WAIT TO DO TOGETHER?

Some of the things we are most excited for are buying our first home together, and possibly traveling to Bali in the coming year! We’re also anxious to fit more traveling in as well.

CAN YOU GIVE US A PIECE OF MARRIAGE ADVICE?

When arguments happen, always approach the situation without trying to be right, but keeping the relationship as a whole in perspective.

WHAT’S ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT GETTING TO WORK TOGETHER AS A HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM?

Being able to spend time with each other and being able to experience other people’s special day. We get to work as a team and grow closer to each other while helping others – which is so fulfilling!

LASTLY…TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHAT YOUR AVERAGE WEEK-DAY LOOKS LIKE.

Anthony works full-time at a roofing company with two of his brothers, and Shelby works part-time in the medical field and uses her time off from work to write and create content for her blog and Instagram. It also consists of lots of relaxing when work is finished with food and movies.
