LANCASTER COUNTY BACKYARD ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SESSION || MOLLY + DUSTIN

November 30, 2018

Hello & Happy Friday! Y’all these photos have been a long time coming! I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to write about this session, and honestly there really are not enough of words. This lady and her family have meant so much us, and the fact that we get to see her get married and capture these moments, is a true joy!

Back when I was a teenager and first picked up a camera, there were a few people in my life who immediately took a chance on me. Trusting me with their family photos, senior photos, ect. Molly and her family are some of the first people I ever started capturing portraits for, and I wish I would have a running record of how many times I’ve gotten to have this beautiful lady in front of my camera, because it’s been a lot, and it’s been such an honor!

Molly, I kind of just want to make this long running list of all the things I love about you. It feels like all my memories with you involve a abundance of laughter, and even this new season of our lives where we don’t see each other every weekend like we used to, I still feel like we always get to pick right up where we left off! You are gift, girl! All those years ago when you said you wanted me to take your wedding photos (even back when I wasn’t shooting weddings 🙂 ), NOW this moment is finally arriving! It’s incredible!

One of the things I loved most about taking Molly & Dustin’s engagement photos, was watching Dustin. I obviously don’t have years of childhood/teenage memories with him, and getting to know him better has been a joy! Dustin, it is obvious that you are such a tender protector of Molly! I loved hearing about how you won her heart, and all the plans you have together for the future. Dusty, you picked a good one, but already know that!

Molly & Dustin, you have an amazing future ahead. Your authenticity and devotion to each other is beautiful, and I can’t wait to see you get married!!! Thanks for enduring the cold for these photos! You two have found a good thing in each other, and I hope these photos always remind you of this season that you walked towards marriage together!
