Hello & Happy Tuesday! We love getting to shoot in new locations, something about a new city, and a new space always gets my creative wheels spinning, and this session was so perfect! We’ve known Andrea & Fernando for some time now, we actually shot their WEDDING 2016! We love getting to see them when we travel to Guatemala, and our daughter Gloria can’t stop talking about them! It’s the sweetest thing! Andrea even helped us photograph Hossanna & Camilo’s wedding in Guatemala, and she was such a gift to me, a sleep deprived, English speaking, pregnant lady.

We’ve been talking about doing Anniversary photos with them for a long time now, and this last trip to Guatemala we tried to squeeze it in, but it just wasn’t possible with our schedules. That’s when the idea of taking their photos in New York City was born. These two traveled to visit family for Christmas, and we met up with them after their red-eye flight into JFK, and wandered around the city together for the day!

This day was amazing! First off let me say that these two are incredible. They looked straight up fantastic after traveling all night! Neither of them had been to New York City before, and it is always so much fun to witness friends taking in a new location. The city is a dream, especially at Christmas time, and it felt extra magical experiencing it with Andrea & Fernando! We crossed the Brooklyn Bridge, something I’ve never done before. It was surreal! We walked through Central Park (our favorite), Time Square, and Rockefeller Center.

Andrea & Fernando, we’re so happy we get to call you friends. We’ve traveled to Lake Atitlán together, captured your wedding, and now have seen NYC together, we can’t wait for the next adventure!
