Two years ago we threw around the idea of doing a behind the scenes post, the more I talked about it the more fun I thought it would be, until I realized that we literally never take any behind the scenes photos. So in 2016 we set out to be more intentional about grabbing a few snap shots of each other in action. The end result is embarrassing, but to good not to share.
We are so very grateful that we get to do what we do. In addition to taking many many photos, we get to hang and fluff beautiful dresses, laugh with aunts and uncles, arrange grandparent photos, tie bows for sweet flower girls, and pin on boutonnieres. We get to jump up and down and make little ones giggle, we get to witness many beautiful vows, lend a hand in holding jackets, bouquets, and anything else that needs to be held. We get to really be there for people on one of the best day’s of their life, and we wouldn’t trade that for anything.
So here are a few images of Hugo and I in action. A few photos of us being goof balls, and a others of us just simply doing what we love. Enjoy!
When one camera isn’t enough.
Oh wait, you don’t want me in your family photo??
Grandma’s are the best! Seriously.
Extended Family Photos. Challenge Excepted.
I learned this year that Mother-Daughter dances don’t just make me teary eyed. They make me cry my guts out.
I should start offering a workshop called “100 ways to get burned during a sparkler exit.”
One of the many reasons I love my job. Flower girls.
Honestly Hugo is a better dress “fluffer” then I will ever be…
…And a veil lifter. Seriously though when you see those pretty photos of the bride and groom under the veil. Know that Hugo’s there doing pretty much all the work.

Happily wading in the waters. It’s always worth it.

Reception. Coffee. Yes Please!
Hugo always amazes me with his servant heart. At Karley & Dave’s wedding he even helped set up the chairs for their intimate backyard ceremony.
Combining forces with awesome parents, to make their kiddos smile.

Cake is our favorite.
What do we do in the free time before the ceremony? We obviously color.
Photographer by day. Professional cat wrangler by night.
The one and only behind the scenes photos we took together. Next year we will do better.
That one time I wore heels it my good friends wedding, and I still wasn’t tall enough.
