Hello! We hope this winter week has been treating you well. We’ve been spending our days here working at crossing items off of our winter to-do list, casting vision for a new year, and preparing for all the good things that are yet to come. We’re still marveling over the fact that January is almost over! I love that each new year feels like a blank canvas of sorts, it’s inspiring to dream and create goals for yet another year (even if it’s almost February.) Part of our process of anticipating and making way for what 2017 holds is by looking back, this is the time of the year, we go through our previous year’s work, take note of what we did well, yet continue to refine and grow our work and process.

Something I love about life and business is that you never just arrive. Growing is a lifelong process. Although perfection is a tempting pursuit, it is yet an unattainable feat. It’s good and right to work hard and to do all things with excellence,  however when you’re shooting for absolute perfection it’s easy to get hung up on the little imperfections. That’s why we take time in a season of focusing on growth and change, to also step back and remember all the beautiful stories 2016 brought our way. To relive the moments that touched our hearts, that brought tears to our eyes, and all the couples that inspired us. Because part of getting to where you are going is to remember where you came from.

To all our 2016 couples, thank you for allowing us the honor of capturing the beauty of your day and story. There are not enough of words to tell you how thankful we are. We love doing what we do, and we are thankful that you invite us to share in your joy and preserve your memories. Many Thanks!
